After below-zero temperatures for much of last week and the holiday weekend, those celebrating the new year will get a chance to do so with much warmer conditions outside. According to the National Weather Service, warmer air is moving into the region allowing for much more mild conditions, with temperatures possibly increasing to near 50 degrees. With the warmer temperatures, commuters can expect patchy fog, and a wintry mix throughout the day today, however little to no snow will accumulate on the ground. New Year’s Eve will have a chance of snow, increasing the further east of the state. The one to count on for winter weather coverage is KNIA/KRLS.
