PCM and Knoxville finished one/two with the Mustangs rolling up 181 team points to Knoxville’s 144.5 at the Mike Halupnick Big Red Invitational at Centerville on Saturday. While the Panthers had one more individual champion than the Mustangs, PCM was able to score a few more podium finishes than Knoxville to build a lead. Remington Fry won the 126 pound weight class for PCM, while Knoxville’s Luke Spaur took home gold at 138 pounds, and Daniel Gorskikh took home 1st place at 170 pounds. The Panther’s Marco Alejo reached a career milestone as he became the 15th wrestler in Knoxville School history to win 100 career matches. Next up for Knoxville is a home dual against Ankeny on Thursday while the Mustangs head to the Heart of Iowa Conference Tournament on Friday in Perry.
