The Indianola City Council met in regular session Tuesday, which included approval of a major site plan for a new daycare located at 1010 N Jefferson Way. City Manager Ben Reeves tells KNIA News the council wanted to help lift a deficit of available childcare in the community, while addressing concerns that traffic flow in the area would not be overly impacted.
“The biggest concern with this one is its location, with its proximity to Iowa Ave and Jefferson, and traffic flows. Special consideration was really taken into that, recognizing that as the properties to the north and east of that daycare center develop, we wanted to make sure there was good connectivity so that we could lessen the number of connections onto Iowa Ave, that we have good connectivity as the parcel develops.”
