A winter storm brought a mix of rain, sleet, and snow to south central Iowa Wednesday evening.
Many area rain gauges received between 1/4 to 1/2″ of rain, on top of a trace to an inch of snowfall:
Pella – .26″
Knoxville – .39″
Lake Red Rock – .31″
Indianola – .25″
Temperatures in the upper 20s and low 30s are expected well into next week with little-to-no chances for significant winter precipitation during that time, according to the National Weather Service.
