The Indianola wrestling team came out on top of the Warren County rivalry Thursday night over Norwalk, the Indians defeating the Warriors 38-25, as Indianola remained undefeated in the Little Hawkeye Conference dual season.

Norwalk took an early lead scoring points at 220lbs and 285lbs by Kolton and Maddux Borcherding-Johnson, then led 16-0 after a win by fall from Tyler Harper at 106lbs. The Indians started to mount a comeback however, getting consecutive wins from Jensen Dyer, Bowen Downey, and Ryan Young at 113lbs, 120lbs, and 126lbs to make it 16-15.

The Warriors earned back to back wins at 132lbs and 138lbs from Tate Turner and Donovan Card to lead 22-15, however they would only score three more points the rest of the evening, a win by Dominic Tigner at 152lbs.

Indianola dominated the remaining weights, with Jake Pontier at 145lbs, AJ Pontier at 160lbs, Dax Clatt at 170lbs, Isaiah Kellow at 182lbs, and Carson Slorah at 195lbs put the match away.

Both teams will wrestle in a familiar spot, tomorrow morning at Norwalk High School in the Little Hawkeye Conference tournament.
