Four local wrestlers will compete at the first sanctioned Iowa Girls Wrestling State Tournament today in Iowa City, Summer Wolff and Lanie Frericks from Indianola, Madilyn Rowson from Pleasantville, and Glorious Fridley from Southeast Warren.
Wolff was seeded 23rd in the 135lb bracket, and will match up with 10th seeded Lizzy Wolf from Benton Community High School.
Rowson was seeded 21st in the 155lb bracket, and will match up with 12th seeded Erika Brokovich from Cedar Rapids Prairie.
Fridley was seeded 23rd in the 170lb bracket, and will wrestle 10th seeded Grace Britten from Nodaway Valley.
Frericks was seeded 25th in the 235lb bracket, and will wrestle 8th seeded Clara Carpenter from Boone.
