The Pleasantville boys basketball team knocked off the I-35 Roadrunners in Truro Tuesday night by the final score of 62-45. Ryder Thill paced the Trojans with 22 points followed by Dayson Leerhoff with 13, Trent Jolly with nine and Parker Sheets with eight.

The Trojans finished 8-8 in league play and they are now 11-9 overall. I-35 fell to 4-16 with the loss.

Pleasantville plays again Thursday at home against the Saydel Eagles.

Varsity Girls

The Pleasantville varsity girls weren’t as fortunate as they lost to Interstate-35 49-36. Joelle Johnson pumped in 21 points, Azell Smith netted nine, Emily Roe and Hope DeMan each added three points.

Pleasantville trailed 14-12 at halftime, but the second half  didn’t go as well as they were outscored 35 to 24. The Trojans slipped to 6-15 overall and 2-12 in the conference with the loss.
