Knoxville Bowler Tristen Carter is already hard at work trying to get back to the State Bowling Meet next season. The junior made the State Meet this year and placed 18th but was not satisfied with his finish. Carter tells KNIA/KRLS Sports he has been at a few off season tournaments, and practicing a few things he needs to improve on in recent weeks.

Carter: “Just working on consistency and playing with line and my stuff. My spares are one thing I need to work on. Right now I have a 70% chance of hitting a 10 pin and I want to bump that up to a 90.”

Carter said nerves likely got in the way to start the State Meet off, and he was better on the day when he settled in. Carter has been to tournaments in Burlington and other areas of the State and will head to other events in the Midwest later in the spring and summer. Find an interview with Carter on kniakrls.com in Today’s Local Sports that aired during this week’s Radio Sports Page Wednesday at 6:00 and Thursday at 10:00.
