The Mathematical Association of America recently selected Russell Goodman, professor of mathematics at Central College, as its new Officer-At-Large for the national organization.

In addition to this honor, Goodman continues to hold leadership roles in the MAA, including the Committee on the Teaching of Undergraduate Mathematics, the Classroom Resource Materials Board and Project NExT Forest Dot.

“It’s been rewarding getting more and more involved with my national organization,” Goodman shares.

Goodman will use his 20 years of experience as a professor of mathematics at Central in addition to the skills he has gained from creating and managing his own sports analytics conference and summer camp to serve the MAA in this new leadership role.
