The 16th annual Warren County Polar Plunge is today. Teams of participants dressed in theme costumes will take the plunge to raise money for Special Olympics Iowa. Special Olympics Iowa is bringing in a special pool made specifically to take the plunge when the weather doesn’t cooperate, or there isn’t a site that will work. Lake Ahquabi, where the plunge normally takes place, is currently under construction by the Iowa DNR.

The event will take place at Norwalk United Methodist Church beginning at noon, with on-site registration taking place an hour beforehand. A post-plunge party will take place inside the church with food and refreshments provided. To learn more, click below.
