A strong season for the Pella High School speech department concluded with one of its best years on the individual competition circuit. A total of eight Dutch earned All-State Individual recognition from the Iowa High School Speech Association, and will perform Monday at the University of Northern Iowa:

Aleigha Ausman: Acting (2021, 2022 honoree)
Abbey Beal: Prose
Sami Clark: Storytelling
Alex DeMuth: After Dinner Speaking
Braelyn Ensor: Solo Musical Theatre
Luci Hopkins: Acting (2022 honoree)
Ryan Sales: Prose (2021, 2022 honoree)
Aurelia Zylstra: Storytelling

This group joins several from around the area (click here for the full local list). Ausman, Hopkins, and Sales are all multiple All-State individual speech honorees, and are excited to return to perform among Iowa’s best.
