It will be a different make up for the Knoxville Girls Tennis Squad this season. The Panthers graduated seven seniors from last season’s team including doubles state qualifiers Jayden Streigle and Olivia Maasdam. While the top two are likely set with Olivia’s sister Janie, and junior Kate Schneider. After that it could be first year players and Coach Nick DeMoss says that is what he has to figure out between now and the first match.

DeMoss: “They’re going to step into that 1/2 role and after that we’ll have to figure out who is going to step into the 4, 5, 6 role and some of those may not have a lot of varsity experience.

DeMoss is trying to figure three, four, five, and six singles plus doubles teams as well. The Panthers start out with two difficult opponents to the season. Next Friday Knoxville opens at the Joel Tonda Tennis Courts with Pella, and then travels to Southeast Polk on April 4th.
