The Indianola girls golf team begins their season a week from Monday, and will feature a young but not inexperienced team. The Indians feature no seniors on the roster, but have sophomores Camryn Overton, Amelia Moorlach, and Reese Lucas all seeing varsity time last year as freshman and others finding time as well. Head coach Rita Doane tells KNIA Sports she feels that despite the team being young, she expects them to compete in the Little Hawkeye Conference for the top spot because she knows what they are capable of. The Indians face a tough schedule this season, beginning next Monday at Briarwood Golf Course in Ankeny, and other trips to West Des Moines, Ames, and Ballard.
