The annual Ron Werling Relays are today at Indianola Stadium, as the Indianola girls track and field team hosts a seven-team meet today that invites Warren County rival Norwalk, along with Southeast Polk, Ottuma, Hoover, Lincoln, and Clear Lake. Field events begin at 4:30pm.

The Indians boys track and field team is traveling to a massive meet at Waukee that will feature a class 4A state-track like preview, with multiple schools from across the Des Moines metro area and beyond attending. Events begin at 4pm.

Indianola girls golfers are fresh off of a win at Grinnell on Tuesday, they will make the shorter road trip to Otter Creek Golf Course in Ankeny for an 18-hole meet today, with tee-off at 9am.

And the girls and boys tennis teams match up with Pella Christian in a Little Hawkeye Conference contest, the boys in Pella and the girls at home. Senior Maren Haynes said the season is going really well, and they like the team culture and attitude this year.

“We’ve faced some tough competition but we’ve stuck with them really well. Our doubles has gotten really strong, we work together well and been able to beat some tough teams. So it’s going pretty well despite the tough teams that we’ve played.”
