Competing at Pine Knolls Golf Club for the second straight day, the PCM boys golf team took fifth place in the Knoxville Invitational on Saturday with a team score of 327.
The Mustangs, who finished second in the Knoxville Triangular on the same course Friday, were led by Charlie Ford with a ninth-place finish after shooting a 77. Jeffrey McDanel had the second lowest round for PCM on the day with an 80, while Grant Van Veen and Tate Tangeman each shot an 85. Rounding out the invite for the Mustangs were Nick Farver and Easton Van Veen, who posted an 86 and a 91 respectively.
Up next for the PCM boys golfers is the Heart of Iowa Conference Meet at Lincoln Valley Golf Course in State Center on Tuesday.
