The Indianola girls golfers, track and field team, and soccer team were all in action Thursday.

The Indians girls golfers placed 4th at Ottumwa shooting a team score of 405 at the Corky Nydle Invitational. Camryn Overton had the top finish for Indianola shooting an 86 to place 5th, Reese Lucas had a 102 ending in 23rd, Amelia Moorlach carded a 106 to place 28th, while Anna Blanchard had a 111 to earn a 34th place finish. The squad will next compete at the Little Hawkeye Conference meet on Monday.

The Indians girls track and field team was at Norwalk, where they placed 2nd with 49 points. Top finishers for the Indians were Josie McGraw winning the 100m Hurdles, Jordyn Brown winning the 1500, Melina Kingkade winning the 3000m, Abby Kluver and Ava Tichy placing first and second in the Discus, Cailey Baker winning the High Jump, Katie Kluver winning the Shot Put, and Aspen Nelson placing second in the 800m. The team will return to familiar ground in their next meet, their state qualifying contest back at Norwalk on Thursday.

The Indians girls soccer team fell to Des Moines Christian 5-1. The beat up Indians got a goal from Isabelle Crookes off of a Aubrey Edgington corner kick, but couldn’t keep up with the Lions. Indianola falls to 5-6 on the season, and stays out of conference tomorrow for a matchup with Warren County rival Carlisle.
