The Indianola boys soccer team won their first round of substate play Tuesday evening on their home field, defeating Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson 8-0 to advance to the semifinals. Jacob Chickering scored four goals to lead the Indians offense, while Cole Burk, Jackson Sinclair, Aiden Stafford, and Alex Middleswart each found the back of the net. The advance to play at Little Hawkeye Conference rival Dallas Center-Grimes on Monday.
The Indians girls tennis team fell to Ankeny in the regional quarterfinal matchup 5-2, their season comes to an end. The Indianola girls soccer team fell to Dallas Center-Grimes 8-0. The Indians fall to 7-8 overall and 2-4 in conference play, and will next play Friday, hosting the regional quarterfinal matchup against Marshalltown.
