The Pleasantville varsity baseball team bounced back from their only loss of the young season by sweeping a conference doubleheader over Panorama on the road yesterday. The Trojans won 10-0 in game one in six innings and game two 6-1.

Coach Sheldon Card’s squad rode the pitching of Dylan Aldrich in the opener as he pitched a complete game with nine strikeouts. Jonah Schumacher had two hits, scored three times and collected three RBI’s. Aldrich was 3-of-4 at the plate with two RBI. Adding to the offense were Edwin Escalante with two hits and Lincoln Card had two RBI.

The Trojans moved to 5-1 overall with the sweep. Braylon Bingham pitched a complete game with 15 strikeouts in the nightcap. Schumacher hit a triple with one RBI. Aldrich drove in a run with a double and Brayden Kennedy added an RBI with a double.

The Trojans play next in a league game against Earlham May 30 on the road.
