Several local businesses are aiming for a boost in tourism later this week as the Great Iowa Road Trip returns to area communities this Friday and Saturday. The event organized by Iowa State University Extension includes destinations from Oskaloosa to Leighton, Pella to Knoxville, and then several cities in Jasper County, with a total of 38 stops listed. The two-day event is developed in conjunction with Visit Pella, the Marion County Development Commission, and Knoxville Chamber of Commerce, and other area tourism bureaus and chamber of commerce groups.
