A four run 6th inning was not quite enough for the Melcher-Dallas Baseball Squad, while the softball Saints had no issues against Mormon Trail in a 10-0 victory on Friday. The Baseball Saints, as they have done all season, fell behind 5-0 but four runs in the 4th got them within one, but could not score any more. Mason DeJong was 4/5 at the plate and Easton Juline was 2/2. Tristan Bennett took the loss going five innings striking out nine. On the softball diamond, Emma Clarke allowed just two hits in five innings while her offense did the rest in a 10-0 win. Hayden Branson had two hits to lead the Saints offense. Melcher-Dallas summer squads host East Union on Monday.
