Both the Indianola baseball and softball teams are fighting for a Little Hawkeye Conference championship Monday on the road at Dallas Center-Grimes for a single contest.

The Indians baseball team is locked into a tie for first with the Mustangs with both teams sporting an identical 14-3 record, and split a doubleheader at Indianola earlier this year with Indianola winning 2-1 and losing 0-3, and since that loss they have rattled off nine wins in a row.

The Indians softball team needs a win and some help for a conference title, they are a game back of Norwalk and DCG, and a win would help the Indians reclaim some momentum they lost over the last week where they have lost three out of their last four games. The softball game will be broadcast live on 94.3 KNIA, with Andrew Swadner and Shaffer Landuyt on the call. Pregame coverage begins at 7pm, with first pitch scheduled for 7:15pm.
