Counting down the top moments of the 2022-23 year for Indianola High School continuing with Honorable Mentions.

The Indianola softball team battled on the road in a Little Hawkeye Conference top five clash earlier this year, as the #5 Indians swept #3 Norwalk in a class 4A top matchup. The Indians won game one 12-4, and game two in a nailbiter 2-1.

Three Indianola girls swimming events qualified to the 2022 State Swim Meet last fall. Five athletes qualified in three relay events, as the team of Julian Bacon, Olivia Raemaeker, Kodi Cram, and Olivia Bacon qualified in both the 200 and 400 Freestyle Relays, while the team of Kodi Cram, Olivia Ramaeker, Faith Mahlstadt, and Julian Bacon qualified in the 200 Medley Relay.

The Indianola girls basketball team was locked into a dogfight on the road with Oskaloosa, as they trailed 26-20 at halftime then 40-32 going into the fourth. As it looked like Osky was pulling away with a double digit lead, Indianola would slowly crawl back with Emily Naughton hitting three three-point buckets in the quarter to get back within two points with 10 seconds to go, when the final play was drawn up for Zoey Belt to get an open shot for three to take the lead. The Indians would win 51-50.
