The Indianola volleyball team is coming off an incredible season, with the most wins in class 4A and an appearance at the Xtream Arena in Iowa City for the class 4A state tournament. Head coach Kent Halstead said the high expectations for the team means they are going to get everyone’s best shot, and that is a good thing. He also said this team is not only talented on the court, but it is their ability to gel on and off the court that is partly what makes them special.

“How do we handle that better than last season? We have good leadership. We have great kids that love the game, and they get along so well, they do a lot of bonding stuff together. The team that plays the best together will win, and you will see a lot of that this year.”

The Indians start their season Monday at Ankeny Centennial.
