The Simpson College women’s soccer team defeated Carleton 1-0 in a non-conference game Wednesday evening at Buxton Stadium. The teams were scoreless after the first half, with the Storm defense holding strong but the offense was unable to get past a strong keeper. Julia Wagoner finally broke through in the 72nd minute assisted by Cassie Nash, and the Storm held on to get the shutout victory. Keeper Lani Mears had four saves in the contest. The Storm improve to 3-0, and will next play Sunday at Carroll.
