The Indianola and Norwalk boys and girls cross country teams travel to Southeast Polk High School today for their state qualifying meets.

The Norwalk boys team is currently ranked 7th in class 4A and are favorites to qualify as a team, with Johnston and Waukee Northwest ranked above them at 5th and 6th respectively. The Warriors feature three runners ranked in the top 25, and are looking for their fifth straight trip to Fort Dodge.

The Indians girls are ranked #11 in class 4A, and will have a tough battle to try and qualify as a team, with #1 Johnston, however they are the second highest ranked team at the meet with #13 Waukee Northwest just behind. Gracie Foster is the lone Indians representative in the rankings, coming in at #23 in class 4A.

The girls run at 4pm, with the boys following at 4:30pm. The top three teams from each event qualify to Fort Dodge, with the top fifteen individual qualifiers also qualifying.
