The Pleasantville volleyball team fell to Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont Monday night in straight sets in the Class 2A Region 3 Semifinal. 

The Trojans fell in the first set 25-12 and weren’t able to pick up much momentum after that. Pleasantville fell in set two 25-13, and set three 25-15 to drop the match. The Shafer twins from EBF, who are both committed to play volleyball at the University of Northern Iowa were too much for the Trojans to handle in the match. Pleasantville Coach Joel Allman tells KNIA/KRLS that EBF was a really good team and his team wasn’t able to put enough pressure on the Rockets. Allman also stated that he’s proud of his girls for never giving up and the success they were able to have this season. 

The Trojans end the 2023 season with a 27-13 overall record, which is the most wins in school history.
