Sunday marks the end of Daylight Saving Time for 2023. Clocks will be set back one hour as of 2 am Sunday morning. The idea behind Daylight Saving Time is to save time by making better use of daylight hours as the earth orbits around the sun. The practice of moving the clock forward one hour from Standard Time during the spring gives us more daylight during summer evenings. Changing the clocks back in the fall grants more light during winter mornings.
