Living Windows, presented by the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce and THRIVE Knoxville, will take place tonight in downtown Knoxville.

Living Windows is an annual event held on the Knoxville square to kick off the holiday season for the community. Business windows on the square will be filled with living displays of people representing the yearly theme. The theme for the 2023 Living Windows event is “Festive Flicks:  A Cinematic Christmas Celebration,” aimed to showcase displays from the most famous Christmas movies. The event will take place from 5:00-8:00 pm tonight, and more than 60 businesses, clubs, and organizations will be participating.

The participants will have their own individual theme to check out and a map of participants is available at the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce office. Along with the displays, the evening will include a ceremonial tree lighting, a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, a snowball drop, community donation drive, carriage rides, and more. Knoxville Mayor Brian Hatch hopes everyone can come out to the event.

“I would encourage everyone to get out there. I hope to see the whole entire town there walking around. If you have not been there, get out there and see it. Experience Living Windows. It’s such a great event. Outside of Nationals, it is one of our biggest events. It’s amazing to see how many people are involved. All the businesses uptown, and how interactive they are with the community. How many people walk around. We light up the community tree. It’s just such a great way to kick off the holiday season.”
