Pleasantville senior Madilyn Rowson took second place in her weight class  Saturday, as the Trojans finished tied for seventh at the Belle Plaine Invitational with 54 total team points.

Finishing runner up in the 170 lbs. weight class, Rowson fell to Briar Blake of North Tama in the championship match to earn 20 total team points. Junior Ella Clark defeated Grace Dvorak of North Tama in the third place match to earn her spot on the podium at 110 pounds and gain 15 points for Pleasantville. The Trojans also saw a strong performance from Addie Koenig who finished fourth at 155 pounds, adding 11 points to the team’s total on the day. Maggie Gasparovich finished seventh in the tournament for Pleasantville and scored eight team points. 

The Pleasantville girls wrestling team next competes on December 11th at the Saydel Girls Invitational.
