The Simpson men’s and women’s basketball teams swept their non-conference games on Saturday, the women downing Wisconsin-La Crosse 67-56, and the men dominating Cornell 100-70. Haley Rasmussen led the Storm women with 28 points as Simpson fell behind after the first quarter, but quickly righted the ship with a 17-9 second quarter to lead 35-31. The Storm then slightly won the second half to earn the double-digit victory. The Storm men jumped all over Cornell, scoring 54 first half points then continuing to put it on in the second half holding Cornell to just 34 points and 39.4% field goal percentage for the game.
