An intense workout before the break turned into opportunity for the Pella girls wrestling team. Head Coach Adam Hale says they partnered with local businesses and Pella schools administrators to create an exercise challenge fundraiser. Hale says their “Indy 500” included partners exchanging walking with weights and running the hallways for 30 minutes, with some pledges made for number of laps and other donations that activated certain participants, including Superintendent Greg Ebeling, Pella Christian Head of Schools Dan Zylstra, Pella High School Principal Josh Manning, Pella Middle School Principal Scott Tjeerdsma, and Athletic Trainer Todd Smith. Pella’s coaches and high school wrestling athletes also trained as part of the experience that Hale says could raise close to $2,000 for the team once the final tallies and donations are received.
