In a special year of 2023 at Pella High School filled with special moments, one of the highlights of the calendar for the Dutch came in rainy Pasadena, California. One year ago, the Marching Dutch were participating in a trip to the Rose Parade — the third in school history, and the most of any Iowa High School. On December 31st, Pella would participate in Bandfest with its field show “Kiss from a Rose,” and followed that up with a march down Colorado Blvd. on January 2nd.
