The Knoxville Wrestling Squad returns to the mats tonight with a quad in Eddyville as the Panthers will take on the host Rockets along with Cardinal and Albia. The Panthers have been for the most part successful in dual meets with a 7-3 record. After tonight, the dual meet season ramps up in a big way as the Panthers will head to Norwalk to take on the Warriors, Ankeny Centennial and Cedar Rapids Washington. Coach Skylar Spaur is looking to see how his guys react to tougher competition after being off for the last couple of weeks.
Spaur: “So there’s two top 15 teams in 3A. We have to get that killer instinct. Win or lose I just want our kids to get that killer instinct and then we go back home for senior night and hopefully ready to rock and roll.”
Albia is 11-3 in duals while Cardinal is 5-7. First bouts tonight are set for 5:30, while Saturday’s action is scheduled for 9:00.
