The Central College basketball teams welcomed Wartburg College to the Tulip City Saturday afternoon to open up the second slate of American Rivers Conference play, and walked away with a doubleheader split. Opening up the doubleheader, the Dutch women’s team put up a valiant upset bid against the nationally ranked #11 Knights, but Wartburg second half efforts helped them escape with a 64-54 victory. The back half of the doubleheader was all Dutch, as the men’s squad erupted for 50 points and put five players in double figures to cruise to the 83-60 over the Knights.
