The Twin Cedars Boys Basketball Squad let the sophomore duo of Holden Roberts and Kaiden Kloster loose on arch-rival Melcher-Dallas and it paid off in a 51-to-38 win over the Saints on Tuesday. Roberts had a double double with 14 points and 12 rebounds while Kloster led the scoring attack for the Sabers with 21 points. The game was tied at 13 early when Twin Cedars ran off 13 straight points to double up the Saints and never was challenged. The Sabers collected 45 rebounds and forced Melcher-Dallas into 15 turnovers while only committing seven. The Saints would trim the lead to five in the fourth quarter but never got any closer. Reece Chiabota scored a double double with ten points and ten rebounds. Coach Matt Bennett told KNIA Sports his team came out flat but had fight down the stretch but just could not get the shot they needed. Melcher-Dallas will join the girls in a varsity double header Thursday against Cardinal. Twin Cedars will host Mormon Trail on Thursday.
