Okangawa Farming and Hunting Safaris will be hosting a free program from 5:30-7:30 pm at the Pella Opera House on Monday.

As part of the program, Okangawa Farming and Hunting Safaris owner Andrew Campbell will present about the opportunities for those interested in hunting and safaris in Namibia, Africa. Okangawa Farming and Hunting Safaris is a 3rd-generation family cattle ranch which offers fair-chase bow and rifle hunting on more than 37,000 acres. Campbell says that program is designed to inform those in America about Namibia and the opportunities to travel to the country to hunt or take a safari.

“A lot of people in the US just are not familiar with Namibia at all, so when we have these discussions we sort of say that you know where we are and that’s the assembly blocks to get out the gate since we’re not even on their map. So, we thought most people are familiar with South Africa, so it’s really just to get Namibia on the map, and then sort of discuss a little bit about the affordability of hunting opportunities in Africa and more specifically, Namibia.”
