Central College is hosting the works of Amy Haney, an artist specializing in printmaking. Haney’s exhibit titled “Aviate” opened on Monday and is open to the public through Friday, April 12th, in the Mills Gallery.

A reception for the artist will be held in the Mills Gallery from 11 am to 5 pm on Thursday, April 11th. The Mills Gallery in the Lubbers Center for the Visual Arts on Central’s campus is open from 9 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday.

Over the last few years, Haney has been creating new concepts of work by revisiting and recycling her older pieces. With work displayed in the San Francisco Bay area, the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art, Microsoft Corporation and the University of Wyoming Art Museum, Haney has exhibited her art all over the country. She is represented at Anderson O’Brien Fine Art in Omaha, Nebraska.

Haney earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Ringling College of Art, a Master of Fine Arts from the San Francisco Art Institute and a master’s degree in art history from Prescott College.
