Three spring sports teams at Pella Christian begin their 2023-2024 seasons today, while the Class 2A #15 ranked girls soccer team will compete in their second contest this week.

After weather conditions Tuesday resulted in a delayed start to their spring, the Eagles track and field teams are slated to be in action at different locations on the road. The Pella Christian girls are slated to compete in the 13-team Dewitt Invite at Clarke High School, while the boys squad will compete in the eight-team Ballard High School Coed Meet.

The Eagles boys soccer team also kicks off their season tonight, as they host PCM for their first game under new head coach Mike Vander Molen. The Mustangs opened their spring campaign Tuesday night with a 3-0 home victory over Sigourney. Also in action tonight is the Pella Christian girls soccer team, as they travel to Albia for each squad’s second game of the season. The Eagles opened their spring with a thrilling 2-1 overtime win at Ottumwa Tuesday night, while Albia dominated Clarke Tuesday for a 6-1 victory in the program’s first ever game.

The Pella Christian track and field meets tonight at Ballard and at Clarke are scheduled to start at 4:30 pm, with the Eagles soccer games against PCM and at Albia slated to begin an hour later at 5:30 pm.
