The Indianola High School Band Solo Ensemble contest was held Monday, with multiple Indianola ensembles and individuals earning high marks. Ensembles to earn Division “I” ratings included the Percussion Choir, Percussion Quintet, Woodwind Choir, Brass Choir, and Trombone Choir. Three students were also selected as “Best of Center” for the band, including Carly Schettler earning a perfect score for a french horn solo, Katherine Peck for a clarinet solo, and Brendan Schlomer for a perfect score on an alto saxophone solo.
