Dutch Soccer Teams Fall to DCG
Despite missing two of their top players, the #3 Pella girls soccer team gave #1 Dallas Center-Grimes all they could handle in a 3-2 loss. Head Coach Mark Howard says the effort felt like a win, especially with Abby Warner and Lizzie Neumann unavailable. Pella was down 2-0 at the half, but scored two early second half goals after the Mustangs took a 3-0 lead. Bri Shannon scored both times for the Dutch, who are 3-1 after the loss to the two-time defending champions, and next head to Gilbert Thursday.

The Dutch boys weren’t able to compete with what Head Coach Mark Solomon called “excellent, technical” soccer from the Mustangs, who won 3-0. The boys, now 2-3 overall, are off to a tournament at Des Moines Hoover Saturday.
