The fourth annual Knoxville Freedom for Youth Fun Walk will take place on Saturday, June 8th.

This community wide event engages all ages, is family friendly, and gives multiple community organizations an opportunity to share what they’re doing. This year’s focus is health and fitness through the Bible and several businesses have been invited to share their health information and have fitness activities. The event will be held at Marion County Park in conjunction with the Marion County Historical Societies Pioneer Days. Registration is $10 a person, and the event starts at 9:00 am. Additional cost will apply if you would like a t-shirt, and you need to register by May 14th to receive a shirt. Anna Humeston with Freedom for Youth says this is the ministry’s biggest fundraiser of the year and encourages the community to come support the event.

“It’s a great chance for the kids to form relationships with people associated with our program. It’s also a great way for adults to see what goes on at Freedom for Youth, and see that it’s a really great program. We have a lot of fun and gives them a chance to ask questions.”

There will be a special prize for kids who compete in all activities at the walk.
