Three small tornadoes were confirmed with a series of storms that prompted warnings and outdoor sirens early Tuesday morning.

The National Weather Service has released that storms rated EF-0 on the Enhanced Fujita scale impacted portions of Marion and Warren Counties, as well as Prairie City.

All three tornadoes briefly spun up during two warnings from 1:11 to 1:42 a.m., and the second warning triggered several outdoor warning systems throughout Marion County. The tornadoes were confirmed based on damage found by local emergency management and reviewed by the National Weather Service.

The KNIA/KRLS Severe Weather Action Team was on the air as all three tornadoes were on the ground.
