The Rotary Club of Pella is hosting a ribbon cutting and dedication of the new basketball and pickleball court at Rotary Park. The event is Saturday, June 22 at East Third & Columbus Streets, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, is open to the public, and families are encouraged to attend.

The schedule of activities includes a presentation from 10:00 to 10:30 am that also has announcements of more planned improvements in the park.

Throughout the event, the Rotarians will be serving Pannenkoeken, Iris Coffee will be serving coffee, and bottled water will be on site as well. Free will donations are encouraged to support future park improvement projects.

Attendees can also take part in a Pickleball Clinic presented by Pella Pickleball Club.
10:30 – 11:30 am – Free course on how to play pickleball
11:30 – 12:00 pm – Watch the 4.5+ play
12:00 – 1:00 pm – Beat the Mayor at Pickleball

Attendees can join in a Big Barrel Home Run Derby on the ball field at 10:30 a.m. and at 1:00 pm there will be a basketball free throw contest.
