It is another mega night of softball and baseball on Panther Drive as both Knoxville Squads will host Centerville, both looking to pull the season sweep of the Big Reds. For baseball, the Panthers have regained their footing, winning three of the last four games after starting the month of June 2-7. The last time Knoxville and Centerville played it was all Knoxville in an 18-0 win in Centerville on May 31st. Coach Turner Devore tells KNIA/KRLS it all starts on the mound, and that is something he has been overall happy with this season.

Devore: “I’ve felt really good about it this season. I think we’ve given up 72 runs in 48 earned so we have to clean that up.:”

Across the way on Panther Drive, the softball squad will look to stay in contention for the South Central Conference title. The Panthers and Redettes played a marathon game on May 31st with Knoxville winning 2-1 in 11 innings. Coach Chris Peden says he would rather not go 11 innings, but if it means another win, he will take that. Listen for the baseball game live on 95.3 KNIA. The Panthers will be playing a varsity doubleheader and we will have the second game.
