The candidate filing period has ended for the upcoming Knoxville School Board special election, and two candidates have filed. 

The two candidates for the special election being held on Tuesday, July 16th are Dylan Mick and Tony Rider. At the Knoxville School Board meeting held on May 27th, a petition was presented to the board with 478 signatures to request the special election. This election will operate like any other election and will have normal polling locations.
