
The Indianola baseball team went 2-0 at the Prange Classic Friday, taking home wins against Saydel 15-4 and Waukee 4-1. The Indians dominated the Eagles, with George Blake throwing 5.1 innings giving up just one run while going 2-3 at the plate with two doubles and three runs batted in, while Gage Sinn went 2-3 at the plate.
Andrew DeWall pitched a complete game as the Indians upset #6 Waukee in game two, while Asher Brueck went 3-3 at the plate while Ryker Burgin went 2-3. DeWall was named tournament MVP. The Indians have two games again today at Dowling, taking on Sioux City West and the host Maroons beginning at 1:30pm.
The Indianola softball team also hosts their home tournament today, inviting Winterset, I-35, and Martensdale-St. Mary’s for a day of games beginning at 10am.
