The Indianola City Council approved a budget amendment at their meeting Monday, fixing a minor error regarding finances for capital projects. Deputy City Manager Charlie Dissell tells KNIA News the correction was good to make now to make the books line up at the end of the fiscal year.

“This was merely going through and fixing that error quick, something that was unintentional and happens from time to time, everybody makes mistakes. Getting that thing fixed and making sure that when we do get to the end of the fiscal year that our budgets are lining up where they are supposed to be and not getting caught in any audits.”
