Warren County Emergency Management Coordinator Troy Bass is retiring July 5th, after having served in the position since 2013. Bass tells KNIA News Emergency Management changed in 2001 after the attack on the Twin Towers in New York, then evolved even more in 2010 when Homeland Security took over. Bass said now there is still the focus on disasters and other disasters, but a lot of his work is training and being a communications point for different entities in the event of a disaster.
