The Knoxville City Council met in regular session on Monday.

At the meeting there was administration of oaths of office to new Deputy Clerk Kaci Visser, Fire  Lieutenant Jordan Beal, and Police Officer Matthew Eagleton. The council then approved 2024 downtown facade improvement grants, and a resolution approving an employment agreement between the city and Knoxville City Manager Heather Ussery. A motion was made for an amendment from council member Megan Day to have a three year end date on Ussery’s contract, but the motion failed for a lack of a second. There was then an amendment that passed for a five year end date for Ussery’s contract.
