A Knoxville woman has been arrested for felony burglary and theft after allegedly stealing a dog in January.

According to court records, on January 4th at 5:03 pm, 46-year-old Amy McCall of Knoxville broke through the backdoor at a residence located at 1329 S Lincoln St. while the victim was not home. There is camera footage of the defendant walking to the back door and a loud thud can be heard. After entering the victim’s residence which was locked, the defendant allegedly stole the victim’s French bulldog. An arrest warrant was issued for McCall on June 28th where she was booked into the Marion County Jail on a $2,000 bond which she has since posted.

McCall is charged with 3rd Degree Burglary, and 2nd Degree Theft which are both Class D felonies.
